Emergency Dispatcher - Do you like working as part of a fast-paced team? Do you like multi-tasking? Are you looking for a wide range of tasks throughout the day? Do you want to be part of an integral team responsible for dispatching the appropriate staff, police, fire, medical, or other emergency units in a citizen’s time of need? If so, the Langlade County Emergency Dispatcher is a position for you! This position works directly with law enforcement and fire/EMS personnel. This fast-paced position is part of the Langlade County Dispatch Center and is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The dispatchers on duty are responsible for dispatching the appropriate staff, police, fire, medical, or other emergency units.

Highway Worker (Operator II) -  
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment utilized in road construction/maintenance projects on roads including, but not limited to: grading, fine grading, ditching, brushing, culvert pipe installation, dozer work, running asphalt plant and all aspects of paving, performing daily maintenance/greasing and monitoring needs for repair and or service and repairs on equipment. This position serves as a mentor to other employees in the highway operations.

Corrections Officer (Female) - A Corrections Officer works with immediate supervision of the Jail Sergeant and works directly with the prisoners under the requirements of the State Statutes and Policy and Procedures provided by the Office. The Langlade County Jail is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. Corrections Officers maintain the Jail for safety and security of all staff and inmates 24 hours a day.

Landscaping Worker (Summer) - Langlade County is seeking candidates for a summer Landscaping Worker. Job responsibilities include lawn mowing, trimming, landscaping, minor repairs and maintenance of equipment, and other duties that may be assigned.

Corporation Counsel - The Langlade County Corporation Counsel serves as the primary legal advisor for the county’s government, providing counsel to the Board of Supervisors, committees, and elected officials on a wide range of municipal matters. This role involves representing the county in diverse civil and regulatory proceedings—such as land use, real estate transactions, and personnel grievances—while also fulfilling state-mandated duties that protect the public interest. These mandates include handling involuntary commitments, paternity and child support cases, and ensuring compliance with Wisconsin’s Open Meetings and Public Records laws. Acting as an officer of the court, the Corporation Counsel further supports the Langlade County Circuit Court by managing legal petitions for guardianships and protective placements, ensuring all county operations remain consistent with state statutes and professional standards. As the head of the Office of Corporation Counsel this role supervises office staff, submits annual report of activities to oversight committee, and prepares a department budget.

Staff Accountant - Highway - Langlade County is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant within the Highway Department. This position is responsible for cost accounting, fund accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and record maintenance. This position is responsible for all highway accounting transactions in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Uniform Cost Accounting Manual.

Deputy Veterans Service Officer - The Deputy CVSO is responsible to help carry out all veteran programs at the federal, state and local levels. The Deputy CVSO is the acting CVSO in his or her absence.

Foreman - This position is responsible for supervising, inspecting, laying-out, and participating in the work of crews engaged in paving projects and construction projects undertaken by the County. As Foreman this position is responsible for directing construction/maintenance operations on State and County trunk highways and local roads including, but not limited to, traffic control, brushing, patching, crack sealing and culvert pipe installation and paving; supervising daily maintenance/greasing and monitoring needs for repair and or service on equipment. Foreman will help instruct employees in the proper operation, safety, and maintenance of Highway Department equipment. Participate in scheduling crews and equipment necessary to complete assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner. Shall perform any other duty, as assigned by the Highway Commissioner.
