Campground Host - This position will reside in their own camping unit in an assigned host site in either Jack Lake Campground or Perch Lake Campground for the entire camping season. The host must be able to commit to working from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday of each week from May 15, 2025 through September 21, 2025, including at least 18 of the 20 weekends, including holidays, within that time frame.
In exchange for free designated camping, the Campground Host is expected to be onsite overnight at the host site on all scheduled workdays to provide hospitality and information to other campers including but not limited to assisting with campground reservations, management of campsite tags, check-in and check-out of registered campers, sale of firewood from the host site. The host also monitors the campground for disturbances, advises campers of campground rules and regulations and contacts police, fire, rescue or the Forestry, Parks and Recreation Administrator when issues require more detailed attention. In addition, completing cleaning and housekeeping of all parks and campground facilities including restrooms, pavilions and cabins during scheduled. Upon completion of cleaning and housekeeping duties, the host will clean and prepare all vacant campsites for future occupancy and complete grounds maintenance of campground areas including lawn mowing, raking of beach areas, weed trimming, collection and disposal of sticks and leaves, and inspections for safety, including identification and reporting of maintenance needs including dangerous trees or limb, tripping hazards or other items of concern. Administrative Assistant Maintenance/Forestry - Langlade County is seeking candidates for a part-time (24 hours/week) Administrative Assistant – Maintenance and Forestry, Parks, and Rec within the Forestry, Parks and Recreation Department. This position provides clerical support to the Maintenance and Forestry and Recreation Departments. This position will perform receptionist and general clerical work under the supervision of the Director of Facilities Management and Office Manager. This individual will need to exercise independent judgment while transacting with the public.

Forestry, Parks, and Rec. LTE - The Langlade County Forestry, Parks, and Recreation Department is seeking candidates for Parks and Recreation Seasonal Field Assistant for the season. This position assists with cleaning and housekeeping of facilities operated and managed by the Forestry, Parks and Recreation Department. This will include but not be limited to removal of trash, mopping, sweeping and sanitizing areas utilized by the public, including restrooms and toilets. Laundry and general housekeeping of lodges, pavilions and cabins are also part of these duties. When required and assigned this position will assist with grounds keeping of campgrounds, shooting range, trails, trailheads, boat landings and parks. The position will also assist with various events scheduled in Department facilities or on Department grounds.
