Emergency Dispatcher - Ongoing - Answer 911 emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate police, fire, medical or other emergency units. Works directly with law enforcement and fire/EMS personnel following their policy and procedures.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Sheriff Deputy - Ongoing - Perform all law enforcement duties. Enforce state and local laws/ordinances. Have the ability to communicate effectively, conduct investigations, write reports, respond to emergencies, enforce traffic laws and conduct/investigate traffic accidents.  Langlade County reserves the right to hold applications until the time is appropriate to move forward with the interview process, which is dependent upon Department needs.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Highway Worker - Langlade County Highway Department is seeking candidates who want to make a career with the Highway Department.  This is an entry level position with potential for advancement in other positions within the Highway Department.  The essential functions of this position consist of manual labor, truck driving and snowplowing.  Knowledge of heavy equipment and maintenance is desirable.  Potential candidates must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License with endorsement B, prior to employment, and must obtain class A and tanker endorsement’s within six (6) months of employment.

Corrections Officer - Ongoing Recruitment - Under the immediate supervision of the Jail Lieutenant and works directly with the prisoners under the requirements of the State Statutes and Policy and Procedures provided by the department.  The Langlade County Jail is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The corrections officer(s) on duty is responsible for several duties during various shift schedules. They shall at all times maintain a clean, neat and proper uniform and appearance.  Maintain the Department Headquarters and all Department equipment in a clean, neat manner, keeping it presentable to the public at all times.  They shall further keep all squad cars used by them in a state of readiness and in a clean and presentable condition.  They shall perform such other tasks or duties as they are requested, assigned and needed.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

County Manager -
