Foreman - This position is responsible for supervising, inspecting, laying-out, and participating in the work of crews engaged in paving projects and construction projects undertaken by the County. As Foreman this position is responsible for directing construction/maintenance operations on State and County trunk highways and local roads including, but not limited to, traffic control, brushing, patching, crack sealing and culvert pipe installation and paving; supervising daily maintenance/greasing and monitoring needs for repair and or service on equipment. Foreman will help instruct employees in the proper operation, safety, and maintenance of Highway Department equipment. Participate in scheduling crews and equipment necessary to complete assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner. Shall perform any other duty, as assigned by the Highway Commissioner.

Forestry Administrator - Langlade County is seeking candidates for a full-time Forestry Administrator within the Forestry and Recreation Department. This management position is responsible for overseeing all Forestry and Recreation staff, and County related operations. The essential functions of this position consist of planning, budgeting, grant writing, expenditures, and receipts for the Langlade County Forest, Parks, and Recreation.

Part-Time Administrative Coordinator - Langlade County is seeking an Administrative Coordinator approximately 20 hours per week, not to exceed 1200 hours annually, to perform the functions and duties as specified in Section 59.19, Wisconsin Statutes, and to perform other legally permissible and proper duties and functions as the County Board shall from time to time assign either directly or through its Executive Committee. Successful candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and interested in working in a cooperative, innovative, fast-paced team environment.

Legal Secretary - This position provides skilled legal secretarial services and assistance to the Office of Corporation Counsel.  This position performs work of a complex nature requiring the exercise of independent judgment.  This position is responsible to protect and maintain confidential and privileged information, including but not limited to:  negotiations, bargaining, personnel matters, legal advice and strategy, and protected health information.

Social Worker OR Social Worker Tech - Langlade County is recruiting for a full-time (37.5 hours a week) Social Worker or Social Worker Tech position in Child Protective Services. The purpose of this position is to provide community assessments for child abuse and neglect cases following Wis. State Statutes and Standards. Provide on-going services to families with unsafe children. Provide services for uncontrollable, truant, and delinquent youth. Develop and monitor performance contracts with providers. Provide after-hours Chapter 48 and 938 emergency access. Provide Juvenile Court Intake services. Coordinate foster home program. Facilitate independent living program. Coordinate Kinship Care Program. Document all case contacts within the eWISACWIS state reporting system.

Social Worker Aide - Langlade County is recruiting for a full-time (35 hours a week) Social Worker Aide position in Child Protective Services. The Social Worker Aide position works directly with clients and CFS (Children and Family Services) case managers. This position will require the ability to work individually and with small groups of clients on tasks including but not limited to; money management, parenting skills, personal hygiene, nutrition, housing, safety services, and supervising family interactions.
