Zoning is the way communities guide the development of land and ensure uses are compatible with adjacent land practices in which each individual property may benefit along with the general public. There are a few exceptions, Langlade County's Zoning authority only extends to the Towns that have adopted zoning practice shown in the white color on the map below. The townships that have not adopted county zoning are shown the green color. Areas shown in the green color are still subject to county zoning that include shoreline areas within 300 ft. of the ordinary highwater mark of a stream or 1000 ft. of a lake.
There is no county zoning (Chapter 17) in the City of Antigo and Village of White Lake shown in the pink color.
