The Langlade County Land Conservation Committee and Department provide scholarships to attend the WI Land+Water Youth Conservation Camp for up to two (2) local students each year. Each scholarship covers $200 of the $250 camp registration fee, which includes meals, snacks, lodging, and a t-shirt. Transportation to and from camp must be provided by students parents/guardians.
WI Land+Water Youth Conservation Camp is for students entering grades 9-12 for the following school year. Camp will be held at North Lakeland Discovery Center, 215 County Hwy W, Manitowish Waters, WI. More information about camp can be found at http://wisconsinlandwater.org/events/youth-conservation-camps.
Conservation Camp will include nature hikes, canoeing, lake research, teambuilding, forest and wildlife biology, and more! Students have fun, meet counselors who work in the conservation field, and make friends with other students with similar interests from around the state.
