HAZARDOUS WASTE collection in the preservation of the natural resources of Langlade County. Currently, the Department addresses this issue by:
  • Holding a Hazardous Waste Collection (Clean Sweep) in even numbered years.
  • Providing education, information, and resources on recycling and/or the disposal of waste.
  • Maintaining a list of Local Recycling Facilities.

The next Langlade County Clean Sweep Event is planned for 2026. Check out the 2024 Clean Sweep Brochure for more information about items we accept at our events. Small Businesses, Agricultural producers (farmers), and in
dividuals bringing in large quantities of hazardous materials need to register to participate in the 2026 Clean Sweep by calling the Land Conservation Office at (715)627-6292 or by online via this link. All other participants should simply plan on arriving during the scheduled event times.

Wisconsin's electronic's recycling law bans most electronics from landfills and incinerators. Learn more about electronic recycling here.

The National Pesticide Information Center has some important safety information about carrying pesticides in your vehicle on their website.

Marthon County Solid Waste has a great resource to help you figure out how to properly dispose of different types of waste on their website
