Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by the bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The Wisconsin TB Program oversees, manages, and facilitates the activities and interventions needed to identify and properly treat all individuals with TB to stop its spread to others. 
What is the difference between Active TB and Latent TB?

TB Skin Tests are provided at the Health Department to individuals on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday for a minimal charge.  Please call before you come in to make sure a Public Health Nurse is available to place the test 715-627-6250.  You are required to return to the Langlade County Health Department within 48-72 hours to have the test read.
