Welcome to the office of the Langlade County Register in Probate, Joy S. Pecha.  The Probate office is located on the first floor of the courthouse in Room 102 and is open  Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Our office staff is available to assist the public with their questions regarding all estate proceedings, guardianship and protective placements, mental and alcohol commitments and adoptions.  For those individuals seeking to commence one of these formal proceedings please be advised the policy of Langlade County Circuit Judge Fred W. Kawalski is to require an attorney in these matters.  Informal probate administration which is actually processed through the Probate Registrar (Ms. Pecha) may be handled by the personal representative without counsel; however, bond will be required.  All fees are statutory.  For additional information, please feel free to contact our office.

Formal hearings for the Probate Court are normally heard on Mondays bi-monthly.  To schedule, please contact Judge Fred W. Kawalski office at (715) 627-6221.  For all other inquiries please be advised that protective placements, mental and alcohol commitments and adoptions are confidential and only limited information will be released without a court order.
