Back to school not only means pencils and backpacks but vaccinations as well!
 
Whether you are entering kindergarten or heading off to college, be sure you are ready with the required/recommended vaccines.
 
New Meningitis B vaccine recommended for children ages 16+, 2 doses, 6 months apart.
 
Also recommended are the Meningitis vaccine (1 dose at 11-12 years and a booster dose at 16-18 years of age) and 3 doses of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine for children ages 11-18.
 
The Langlade County Health Department will have a FREE vaccination clinic for children if you do not have any insurance or if you have Medical Assistance or Badger Care on Wed., August 22nd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  If you have health insurance, be sure to contact your primary physician to get the required/recommended vaccinations before school starts!
