Langlade
County uses a team approach for economic development, which allows the
County to promote and maintain its economic vitality.
Contact
the Community Development Corporation for information on the Revolving
Loan Fund available for the start-up of a new business or for expansion of
existing business in Langlade County. Applicants may choose to apply
for either the City or County fund depending on the location of the
business. Funds can be used for the purchase of land or buildings,
equipment, and working capital.
We
can meet with a business to help organize start up or expansion efforts,
assist in securing building sites in Antigo, Elcho and White Lake, assist
with various State and Federal Economic Development loan programs, and
help connect with other resources that they may needed for business
start-up or expansion.

Chamber of Commerce looks to promote commercial, financial, professional,
and general business interests of the area. Services include:
provide event information, promotion of tourism, sponsor local events
& activities, support retail trade sector, and organize local economic
development training seminars.

City of Antigo has a variety of services to support business and industry.
Antigo supports an industrial park with lot sizes varying from 1.5 to 10
acres. Business and industry, both start-up and relocation, are
welcome to establish themselves in the city.

staff through the Community Resource Development Agent, will meet to
discuss business-planning efforts for start-up or business expansion.
Staff will meet with owners on a one-on-one basis to discuss future
business efforts. Business plans are the focus of these one-on-one
sessions.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers no cost individual
counseling services and low cost structured educational courses in a
variety of management disciplines. This organization works with
owners or managers of established businesses (500 or fewer employees) or
new business start-ups. The SBDC is located at the UW-Stevens Point
Campus.

furnishes information on government regulations and financing
alternatives, and refers business to appropriate resources.

Wisconsin Department of Commerce is the state’s primary agency for
delivery of integrated services to the people of Wisconsin. This
department offers business financing as well as technical and managerial
services. Examples of services include: product development,
community loans to businesses, minority business start-up and expansion,
